2014 brought Leslie a new and fun-filled adventure. She was invited to participate in a juried week-long plein air event, "Arts on the Green," in Cashiers, NC. She painted a couple of paintings daily, competed in the quick draw event, and sold several paintings in the final show.

In Formation Painting Chosen for Art in Embassies Program

The painting at left, In Formation 40" x 30", was chosen to be part of an exhibition of the Art in Embassies Program. It was originally part of Leslie's "Coastal Heritage: Our Bond With Nature" collection which opened at Sandpiper Gallery and was featured in an issue of American Art Collector. It hung for two years in the US Embassy in Dakar, Senegal. The exhibit is now over, and this well-travelled painting was returned, sold, and resides in it's new home with collectors in Georgia.
